ARTSTUDIO x Petr Bankov

Peter Bankov, resident of the Louvre and MoMA, designed the graphic style of paintings specifically for the ARTSTUDIO Moskovsky apart-hotel. The cultural code of "Leningrad modernism" is reflected in each painting.

The halls of ARTSTUDIO Nevsky present 132 works by 19 artists who collaborated with the Erarta Museum.

Vyacheslav Mikhailov’s abstract painting organically complements and decorates the interior of the first floor of ARTSTUDIO M103. The expertly created rhythmic forms, with a variety of textures in yellow, black and white colors, will not leave the hotel’s guests indifferent. Architectural images of compositions can be discussed or contribute to self-knowledge, delight the eye or serve as a means of switching between work and rest.

ARTSTUDIO M103 was designed in the form of an open book by architect Evgeny Podgornov, who is a member of the Union of Architects of Russia and a member of the expert council at the urban planning council of St. Petersburg. In this project of a folio building, they combined exquisite severity and restrained laconicism, focused on the functionality of the space and the play of light.

A letter from Saint Petersburg

The rooms of ARTSTUDIO hotels feature a theatrical installation, “Letter from St. Petersburg. When entering the hotel, guests of St. Petersburg are immersed in the atmosphere of our city and can “get in touch” with the lives of outstanding Leningraders and St. Petersburgers of the first half of the 20th century. Real letters that were once written from our city by Vladimir Mayakovsky, Zinaida Gippius, Dmitry Shostakovich and others are read and recorded by modern actors. And the QR code system in each hotel room allows guests to hear these “voices of St. Petersburg.”
An important part of the theatrical installation is the opportunity to personally write and drop a stylized envelope into a special mailbox.
